ON-SITE -An essential skill for any form of painting is learning to mix paint to achieve the value and color you want. In this class you will become competent on mixing the correct color, value, and temperature of your scene (including natural looking greens) using a limited palette. Edges and paint application will be a focus as well as understanding the effect of light, shadow, and atmospheric perspective. In addition to learning about color, this class will reinforce good composition plans and introduce small color studies. While still life objects will be used in a studio for this class, the lessons learned will equip you for painting in any location indoors or out.
