Bruce’s formal studies in sculpture began at the National Academy of Design in New York, NY where he received a Certificate of Sculpture. He went on to earn his BFA in Sculpture at the Lyme Academy College of Fine Art in Old Lyme, CT and then followed up with his MFA in three disciplines- Sculpture, Drawing and Painting- all from the New York Academy of Fine Art in New York City. He has studied under and worked alongside many notable sculptors in this country and abroad and has contributed to such projects as the F.D.R. Memorial in Washington, D.C. (Presidential commission), the Father McGivney Memorial in New Haven, CT (Papal commission) and the Leonardo da Vinci Horse in Milan, Italy among others.
