We are excited to launch this entirely new and innovative Landscape Program!

The American Academy of Landscape Painting is being offered by the prestigious and historic Lyme Academy of Fine Arts in Old Lyme, CT. Renowned landscape and maritime Painter Don Demers has assembled an exceptional faculty for this multi course curriculum. The curriculum currently consists of a 10 course program; three foundational classes, four Intermediate classes and finally three master classes. This group of classes is intended to have a sequential order, building skills from basics through advanced techniques and philosophies of painting.

A student of the Landscape Academy will be required to complete 9 courses and upon successful completion will be granted a certificate of completion from AALP.

The faculty is comprised of some of the most accomplished and elite painters and instructors in the country. The American Academy of Landscape's faculty includes the programs Director Don Demers, Kenn Backhaus, Cindy Baron, Kathleen Dunphy, Eileen Eder, West Fraser, Jackie Jones, Michelle Jung,  Joseph McGurl, Morgan Samuel Price and Jerry Weiss.

There will be lectures offered by giants in the field such as T. Allen Lawson.
