MASTERCLASS WORKSHOPS- Available in Spring/Summer 2021

Artists come for instruction at the American Academy of Landscape Academy with various levels of painting experience. If an artist feels they are accomplished in all of the foundation level classes, please submit four images so that we may accept you into the intermediate or master level classes, or make suggestions as to what class(es) you will need to take before moving to the next level. Achieving Master level classes may take a beginner painter one to several years depending on how much time they practice or their speed of development.

Color for Landscape and Still Life

Topography of the Human Figure

 

Intermediate: 

Critical Thinking, Editing, Composition and Brushwork

Drawing Outdoors

Bringing Plein Air Studies into the Studio

 

Additional intermediate Classes are:

Innovative Methods to bring Richness and life to your landscapes- for water color painters

 

Master Classes: 

Painting the Coastal Landscape (Intermediate Seascape Painting is a prerequisite)

Going Beyond Theory of Color to Application

Transforming a Field Study into a Studio Painting 

The program provides a sequence of information that's essential for today's landscape painters.
