Outdoor Landscape Drawing
This course examines and practices the disciplines of drawing outdoors. From visual journaling to perspective drawing, it involves working with various media and with a variety of artistic intentions from travel sketching, vignette studies to formal drawings as preparatory works for studio painting. Perspective drawing will be emphasized particularly as it applies to architecture. Practical review and application of skills and knowledge of composition and design, local spot value and texture variety while working outdoors will be extensively covered. Media ranging from graphite and charcoal to sketching with watercolor washes will be included. This is an Intermediate Level course in the curriculum.
